Cowboys | Irvin tells contradicting stories
The Dallas Morning News reports former Dallas Cowboys WR Michael Irvin said the drug paraphernalia found in his possession Friday, Nov. 25, belonged to a relative, not the unnamed friend as he had earlier stated, according to a police report released Monday, Nov. 28. "It's my brother's. He left it in there," Irvin told Plano police. That's what was printed on the back of the drug paraphernalia citation the former Cowboys player was issued. When Plano police clocked Irvin on Friday afternoon, Nov. 25, around 2:30 p.m., he was traveling 78 mph - 18 miles over the posted speed limit, according to the traffic ticket. In addition to speeding, the officers noted that Irvin failed to signal when changing lanes and wasn't carrying a driver's license.
