Devil Rays | April In Parris

The Tampa Tribune's Carter Gaddis reports Tampa Bay Devil Rays pitcher Steve Parris has won the fifth spot in the rotation, after pitching five shutout innings on Friday. ``He pitched himself into the fifth spot,'' Manager Lou Piniella said. ``It was a nice effort. He's pitched well all spring, and he's earned it. So our rotation is set.'' Parris, 35, rounds out a rotation that already included Joe Kennedy, Victor Zambrano, Jim Parque and Nick Bierbrodt.
