Pirates | Sanders Gets Center Nod
The Canadian Press reports the Pittsburgh Pirates are finalizing a contract offer with free-agent outfielder Reggie Sanders, to be announced after Sanders passes a physical. The Pirates were searching for a power-hitting centerfielder to bat leadoff and also considered bringing in Ron Gant and Kenny Lofton before settling on Sanders.
