Nationals | Short to Have Surgery

Updating previous items, Bill Ladson, of Nationals.MLB.com, reports Washington Nationals IF Rick Short (shoulder) will undergo shoulder surgery Sunday, Sept. 25. He's had recurring anterior instability of the left shoulder, which has contributed to three different shoulder separations this year. Short will need six months to recover fully from surgery.
