Jaguars | Owens Loses Punt Return Job

Vic Ketchman, of Jaguars.com, reports Jacksonville Jaguars rookie WR/PR Chad Owens will probably step out of his punt-return role for awhile, following a two-fumble performance in the first half of the team's 10-3 loss to the Indianapolis Colts Sunday, Sept. 18. Owens was replaced by rookie RB Alvin Pearman for the final punt-return of the first half. Pearman is likely to remain the Jaguars' punt returner when the team plays against the New York Jets Sunday, Sept. 25.
