Giants | Barber Accepts Shared Workload
Vinny DiTrani, of the Bergen Record, reports New York Giants RB Tiki Barber has no qualms against having rookie RB Brandon Jacobs or RB Chad Morton fill in during certain rushing situations and having competition at the position. "We have a healthy competition going on in our running back group as to who can score the most touchdowns," Barber said. Barber was quick to praise Jacobs for his contributions to the offense. "Brandon obviously was a stud on short yardage," said Barber, who gladly yields that duty he inherited by default last year. "He gives us situation expertise. First and second downs and screens, I do very well, but short yardage I don't. It's nice, too, because he challenges me."
