Eagles | McNabb Status Still Unsettled

Bob Brookover, of the Philadelphia Inquirer, reports Philadelphia Eagles head coach Andy Reid admitted that QB Donovan McNabb (chest) was feeling worse Tuesday morning, Sept. 13, than he was Monday night, Sept. 12. McNabb said he didn't think about the injury much until after the game. "When you're in a game situation, you're just battling past the injuries and trying to make things happen," he said. "You don't feel the pain until after the game. Right now, I'm a little sore." McNabb, who is probably the second most dangerous running quarterback in the league behind Atlanta Falcons QB Michael Vick, did not run once last night, although he was credited with one run on what was essentially a sack. With McNabb likely to be listed as questionable for the team's game against the San Francisco 49ers Sunday, Sept. 18, the team could turn to QBs Koy Detmer or Mike McMahon. That's an issue Reid refused to discuss.
