Chiefs | Vermeil: Defense Getting Better

KCChiefs.com reports Kansas City Chiefs head coach Dick Vermeil has seen a steady improvement with the team's defense since training camp got underway. "The defense is getting better; it was very disruptive to everything the offense wanted to do," Vermeil said. "They've got to experience some success. When your defense is continually confronted with one of the best offenses in football sometimes it takes a while to be disruptive. Today they were disruptive." Defensive coordinator Gunther Cunningham has emphasized "wrapping up" in practice and his players are complying.
