Cowboys | Meet and Greet Navy Personnel

Chad Peters, of DallasCowboys.com, reports most of the Dallas Cowboys' players and coaching staff landed at the Naval Air Station at Point Mugu, Calif., Thursday, July 28, in preparation for the team's training camp in Oxnard. The Cowboys were greeted by hundreds of fans and military personnel at CBC Port Hueneme, which is part of Naval Base Ventura County. And for the second consecutive year, the Cowboys were able to show their appreciation by signing autographs and taking photographs for an hour with the military personnel on hand, many of whom are either returning from service in Iraq or are about to be deployed overseas. "You put your life in perspective," said LB Dat Nguyen during the autograph session. "We do something that we love and enjoy doing. They're doing something to save a country. You put yourself in their shoes and you commend those guys. We're here dodging offensive linemen and they're dodging bullets. We appreciate what they do and we just want to say thank you."
