Patriots | Teammates Support Bruschi

Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald, reports several New England Patriots' players have commented on LB Tedy Bruschi's (heart) decision to take the season off after suffering a mild stroke in February, and the response has been overwhelmingly in support of the linebacker. "He's a good friend, and I'm happy for him,'' LB Ted Johnson said. "I think there are a lot of things in life a lot more important than football, so I do think this is good news. I don't think there's any reason to rush it. He's still a Patriot." Added LB Don Davis, "There are few players around the league that impact the game or a team in such a way that you have to take notice,'' said Davis. "To me, that's what Tedy Bruschi is. He has that presence and sheer determination. It's a will to win. You look at him and he's not your biggest linebacker or your fastest guy, but he's in the right place at the right time.''
