Lions | Kircus Changes Mind and Plea
Updating previous reports, mlive.com reports Detroit Lions WR David Kircus admitted Wednesday, July 6, that he drove drunk last month in Georgetown Township, hours after pleading not guilty to the same charge. He initially pleaded not guilty before Hudsonville District Court Judge Kenneth D. Post. He reversed his plea after a meeting between prosecuting and defense attorneys. Kircus faces up to 93 days in jail, in addition to fines and community service, when sentenced July 26. He also has a pending traffic case for speeding in Allegan County, where he was ticketed April 17 for allegedly driving 97 in a 70-mph zone.
