Lions | Police and Courts: D. Kircus
Mlive.com reports Detroit Lions WR David Kircus is expected to be arraigned in Hudsonville District Court Wednesday, July 6, on a drunken driving charge, court records show. Kircus was arrested Saturday, June 25, in Georgetown Township by an Ottawa County sheriff's deputy who pulled his vehicle over for an undisclosed traffic violation. After speaking with Kircus during the traffic stop, police allege he was operating under the influence of alcohol, a misdemeanor offense punishable by 93 days in jail, a $500 fine and up to 45 days of community service. Kircus was later released after posting bond. Lions' senior vice president of communications Bill Keenist said the team was aware of the situation, but he refused to comment on the arrest.
