Indians | Denney Hospitalized
The Associated Press reports Cleveland Indians minor league P Kyle Denney (head) was hospitalized Sunday, June 26, after being hit in the head by a line drive during a Triple-A game earlier in the day. The ball struck him above his right ear. After the play, Denney remained on the field for about 10 minutes receiving medical attention before being carried off on a stretcher. He'll likely be kept overnight at the Buffalo-area hospital for observation. According to trainer Todd Tomczyk, Denney received a concussion but never lost consciousness. There is a possibility he could be out of action for four to six weeks.
