Jaguars | Smith Pleased With Offensive Progress

Vito Stellino, of the Florida Times-Union, reports Jacksonville Jaguars offensive coordinator Carl Smith can't wait until training camp when he can get a better understanding of where the team's offense is at. "I'm really happy with the way our offensive guys approached the offseason and they were receptive to our teaching,'' Smith said. ''Really, I had no idea we'd be this far along.'' Smith, along with assistant coaches Ken Anderson and Andy Heck, put together a 600-page playbook during the offseason that focuses on the current players' talents. The players, says Smith, have responded well to the changes.
