Browns | Q. Carter was Hopeful of Signing

ESPN.com's John Clayton reports free agent QB Quincy Carter (Jets) had been hopeful of signing with the Cleveland Browns. Carter had hopes that new Browns offensive coordinator Maurice Carthon would get him on the Browns roster. When the Browns signed QB Doug Johnson, Carter's hopes were dashed.
