Broncos | Expect Production From Davis
Andrew Mason, of DenverBroncos.com, reports the Denver Broncos expect DT Dorsett Davis to compete for a starting job next season after missing all of 2004 with a torn tendon in his left pinkie finger, an injury he has since recovered from. "This is a big year for Dorsett as a third-round draft choice—not only the pick, but the money that was invested in Dorsett and the fact that we're a little thin at defensive line right now," general manager Ted Sundquist said. In late February, the Broncos made a tender offer to Davis, who is a restricted free agent. Another team will have to surrender a third-round selection in order to procure Davis.
