Dodgers | Dreifort Appears Done

Updating a previous item, Ken Gurnick, of Dodgers.MLB.com, reports Los Angeles Dodgers trainer Stan Johnston thinks P Darren Dreifort (shoulder) may have thrown his last major league pitch, as the hurler is due to undergo shoulder surgery Feb. 15 that would mark his 14th operation as a member of the Dodgers. "He has given his body to the game," said Johnston. Dreifort will remain on the 40-man roster, but will be on the disabled list, and he will receive $13.4 million for his last year of a five-year deal. Los Angeles will get back around half that sum via disability insurance.
