Eagles | Thomason Ready for Action

PhiladelphiaEagles.com reports Philadelphia Eagles TE Jeff Thomason says he will be ready to play 15-20 snaps at tight end and also contribute on special teams during the Super Bowl Sunday, Feb. 6, against the New England Patriots. Thomason, who played with the Eagles from 2000-2002 and since then has worked as a project manager for a construction company, will replace injured TE Chad Lewis (foot) on the team's 53-man roster. He added that he has been training and participating in triathlons, so he should be fine with conditioning. "I know what is expected of me and it's perfect," said Thomason. "The fact that I'm replacing Chad, who is one of my dearest friends, means a lot to me. This is a very special situation." He will wear No. 85.
