Mariners | Gutierrez Signs

The Associated Press reports the Seattle Mariners signed IF Ricky Gutierrez (Red Sox) to a minor-league contract. If Gutierrez is added to the major league roster, he would get a $600,000, one-year contract that would allow him to earn an additional $300,000 in performance bonuses. He's expected to compete for a reserve job with SS Ramon Santiago.
