Bears | Offense to Focus on the Run
At his introductory press conference Tuesday, Jan. 11, Chicago Bears offensive coordinator Ron Turner stressed the importance of establishing a running game next season, reports Larry Mayer of ChicagoBears.com. "The key to making an offense work at any level is having a plan and executing what you're doing and that's something that we're going to do," Turner said. "I think it starts with the running game. No matter what level you're talking about, but probably especially at this level, you've got to run the football." The main beneficiary of the run-oriented attack figures to be RB Thomas Jones, who rushed for 948 yards and seven touchdowns on 240 carries in his first season with the team.
