49ers | Erickson Will Remain Through Seasonís End
SF49ers.com reports San Francisco 49ers head coach Dennis Erickson said he will remain with the 49ers for the final three games and will meet with team management at the conclusion of the season to discuss his future and that of his assistant coaches. "I had my meeting with [owner John York]. It wasn't really any different than any other meeting that I have with him. We talked about the game. We talked a little bit about personnel. Basically, that was it," Erickson said. "At the end of the year, we'll all get togetheró John, I and [general manager Terry Donahue]óand talk about everythingópersonnel, coaches and everything, but we'll basically do that at the end of the year." Erickson also announced that the University of Mississippi has not contacted him about its head coaching vacancy and denied any truth of a report that first surfaced on ESPN Sunday, Dec. 12.
