Bears | George in Good Shape
David Haugh, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears QB Jeff George, who is down to about 210 pounds and has focused heavily on weight lifting and conditioning, will cost the Bears about $250,000 over the remainder of the season. The Bears have not guaranteed George an opportunity to take any snaps during the rest of the season. As reported, George will serve as the team's No. 3 quarterback and is expected to begin practicing with the team Monday, Nov. 29.
