Texans | Earl Expected to Start Week 10
The Houston Chronicle reports Houston Texans rookie SS Glenn Earl is expected to start the Week 10 game at the Indianapolis Colts at strong safety. Although he did not name a starter, Texans head coach Dom Capers is leaning toward Earl getting the nod over incumbent S Eric Brown, who was benched in the second half of the Week 9 31-13 loss to the Denver Broncos. If Earl starts against the Colts, he likely will play only on first and second downs because he has not received much work in the Texans' substitution packages for pass defense.
