Jets | Backup QB Battle: Carter vs. Bollinger
The New York Daily News reports the New York Jets now have a controversy at backup quarterback, as QBs Quincy Carter and Brooks Bollinger are battling for the position. Carter was presumed the No. 2 quarterback, but Bollinger hit 11-of-20 passes for 168 yards to lead the team to victory Friday, Sept. 3, against the Philadelphia Eagles. Carter, in turn, hit 9-of-21 attempts, threw an interception (wasn't viewed as his fault) and was sacked twice. While Carter is more experienced, Bollinger knows the system better and could have solidified the No. 2 position earlier in camp if he had not suffered a knee injury.
