Jets | Carter Playing Catch Up

New York Jets QB Quincy Carter has been working extra hours with offensive assistant Pep Hamilton in order to catch up with the team's offensive philosophy, reports Eric Allen of NewYorkJets.com. "Pep has been my one-on-one guy," Carter said. "Coach Hackett is like the Godson of this West Coast offense, so he doesn't really have time to slow down for me. Pep has been the one to really catch me up with everybody else. Once I got up to speed with Pep, then I was able to go into the room with Coach Hackett. It was like speaking Spanish with him if you really don't know what's going on. Pep has been able to be there for me and let me catch up to everyone else."
