Mariners | Leone Injured, Likely Out For Year

The Associated Press reports Seattle Mariners 3B Justin Leone (finger) will likely miss the rest of the season after he broke two fingers on his left hand when he was hit by a pitch Tuesday, Aug. 17. Leone was batting against Kansas City Royals P Matt Kinney in the fifth inning when a pitch hit his hand. X-rays revealed two broken fingers, and Leone will be sidelined four to six weeks.
