Dolphins | Holding Off of Signing Freeman
Alex Marvez, of the Sun-Sentinel, reports the Miami Dolphins plan to hold off on signing free agent WR Antonio Freeman (Packers). The team wants to keep their options open in case a faster receiver becomes available through a trade or free agency, according to an NFL source. "We're talking to a lot of different free-agent players at a lot of different positions," Dolphins head coach Dave Wannstedt said. "We'll keep looking and hopefully the right guy will come along and we will add him to the roster." Miami is expected to re-evaluate signing Freeman after seeing how their reserve wide receivers perform in the Saturday, Aug. 14, preseason game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
