Raiders | Mr. Irrelevant Honored
Collette Fowler, of Raiders.com, reports Oakland Raiders rookie LB Andre Sommersell recently received a trophy honoring him as Mr. Irrelevant XXIX during a ceremony in Newport Beach, California. Sommersell was the final player selected (No. 255) in the 2004 NFL Draft. The tradition of awarding a Mr. Irrelevant title began in 1976, when University of Dayton WR Kelvin Kirk was selected 487th by the Pittsburgh Steelers.
