Patriots | Team Contacted O'Donnell

Andy Hart, of Patriots.com, reports that the New England Patriots contacted former Tennessee Titans QB Neil O'Donnell about his playing status for the 2004 season. With the loss of backup QB Damon Huard this offseason, the team was in search of a veteran to serve as their second-string quarterback. "The Patriots asked if I would consider doing it one more time, and I kind of laughed and said, 'Call me in December and let's see how you guys are doing, maybe making another run to a Super Bowl ring," O'Donnell told the Nashville City Paper. "But as of now, I'm more or less finished."
