NFL | Former Vikings WR Arrested
The St. Paul Pioneer Press reports Minnesota State Patrol arrested former Minnesota Vikings WR George Rhymes late Wednesday, May 19, after forcing his wrong-way vehicle off the road to avoid a head-on collision with oncoming traffic on U.S. 52 in Dakota County. Rhymes was booked into the Dakota County Jail early Thursday, May 20, on allegations of possession of cocaine, drunken driving and felony fleeing a police officer. Rhymes, 42, played for the Vikings from 1985 to 1987. Rhymes has prior convictions for felony robbery, disorderly conduct, drunken driving and obstruction of the legal process after he ran over police officers' feet while fleeing a traffic stop in 2000.
