Vikings | Mixon Begins 30-Day Sentence, Will Take Part In Offseason Workouts
Bill Williamson, of the St. Paul Pioneer Press, reports Minnesota Vikings DE Kenny Mixon began his 30-day sentence in the Hennepin County Workhouse on Monday, April 5, as a result from his second DUI conviction in less than 16 months. Mixon is in the work-release program and will have to spend evenings and weekends at the workhouse. Once he serves 30 days, Mixon will be under house arrest for 60 days but will be allowed to take part in the Vikings' offseason program. Mixon will not have to serve the final 275 days of the one-year jail term if he doesn't violate probation.
