Bears | Stewart Could Be Released Before Free Agency Period

David Haugh, of the Chicago Tribune, reports Chicago Bears general manager Jerry Angelo confirmed Monday, Feb. 16, that the release of Bears QB Kordell Stewart could happen before the NFL free-agency period begins. Stewart and his agent, Leigh Steinberg, have begun discussions with the Bears so the quarterback could find a better fit elsewhere.
