NFL | Former Black QBs Form Support Group For Current NFL Stars

The Associated Press reports former NFL QBs Warren Moon, Doug Williams and other former NFL quarterbacks said Thursday, Jan. 29, they have formed "The Field Generals" to serve primarily as a support group for black players. The group will help their modern-day counterparts deal with the extra scrutiny of being a high-profile minority player in the NFL. "As a quarterback -- I don't care who you are -- there's going to be some of those days," said Williams, the first black quarterback to win a Super Bowl. "As a black quarterback, sometimes they're a little tougher."
