Raiders | Callahan To Be Fired
The San Francisco Chronicle reports a source inside the Oakland Raiders' front office confirmed Tuesday, Dec. 30, that head coach Bill Callahan was let go. The team did not pick up the first of two option years on Callahan's contract. In a meeting between Callahan, managing general partner Al Davis and senior assistant Bruce Allen earlier on Tuesday, the decision was reached, the source said. The Raiders are expected to announce their decision on Wednesday, Dec. 31.
