Redskins | Changes Coming To Defense?

According to Mark Maske, of the Washington Post, the Washington Redskins are contemplating making several changes to the team's defense. Defensive coordinator George Edwards said the team is considering creating expanded pass-rushing roles for LB LaVar Arrington and DE Ladairis Jackson. The team also plans to give DE Regan Upshaw more time and possibly curtail DE Bruce Smith's time to keep him fresh. Edwards also said that they may spend more time in the 3-4 defensive alignment. "We've used it in the past," Edwards said. "We'll see. We're in the early stages right now of [preparing for] Buffalo, and we're going to run what we deem necessary to get them stopped."
