Patriots | T. Johnson Working Way Back

Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald, reports New England Patriots LB Ted Johnson (foot) continues to work his way back from a broken foot suffered in the Sept. 7, season-opener at the Buffalo Bills. Johnson will remain on crutches for a few more weeks, after which he will step up his rehab. Johnson said his return is not a matter of if, but when. The fact that head coach Bill Belichick didn't place Johnson on injured reserve is strong enough indication that the Patriots expect him to return sometime in November. If the team felt Johnson was done for the year, or would be able to contribute to only a few games, they would have shelved him for the year.
