Rockies | Cruz Waived

Rockies.MLB.com's Thomas Harding reports the Colorado Rockies waived RP Nelson Cruz after he left the stadium immediately after giving up eight runs in the first inning of a loss that cost Triple-A Colorado Springs a playoff berth. RP Matt Whiteside blasted Cruz in a local newspaper, accusing him of considering himself too much of a big-leaguer to stick around for his teammates.
