Lions | Gary Knows Offense
Curt Sylvester, of the Detroit Free Press, reports Detroit Lions RB Olandis Gary worked individually Monday, Sept. 1 with the assistant coaches and quarterbacks on the basics - taking handoffs, for instance. With another four days of practice, however, Gary said he can see himself carrying the ball Sunday, Sept. 7 in the Lions' season opener against the Arizona Cardinals. "I don't think it would be tough," he said. "I know the offense pretty good. I ran it in Denver for four years, so that gives me an advantage there. It's just a couple of wrinkles, idiosyncrasies of the offense I need to hone in on. Other than that, I pretty much know the basics."
