Lions | Jefferson’s Role

ESPN.com’s Len Pasquarelli reports Detroit Lions WR Shawn Jefferson will be asked to help serve as a mentor to the Lions’ younger wide receivers, most notably to push along the development of rookie WR Charles Rogers. It’s likely that Jefferson will be no better than the team’s No. 4 receiver and may also have to play on special teams in order to make the roster.
