Patriots | No Guarantees for Ward
The Boston Herald reports New England Patriots newly signed free agent WR Dedric Ward has no guarantee that he will win a roster spot. Ward will have to battle it out among WRs Troy Brown, David Patten, Deion Branch, David Givens and rookie Bethel Johnson for one of the five wide receiver spots. "Nothing's guaranteed, and it would be wrong of them to say that. I'm just looking forward to coming in and showing what I can do. This is an opportunity, and I'm going to treat it like you have a job that I want,'' said Ward.
