Bengals | Smith Ready to Compete

Bengals.com's Geoff Hobson reports Cincinnati Bengals QB Akili Smith, a No. 3 overall draft pick from 1999, is prepared to compete with No. 1 draft pick Carson Palmer for the team's backup QB position behind starting QB Jon Kitna, but he will accept the No. 3 position. "Whatever they want me to do, If it's No. 2 or No. 3, I'm happy to have a job," Smith said.
