Pirates | Young Becomes Old Hand

Joe Rutter, reporting for The Pittsburgh Tribune-Review, writes Pittsburgh Pirates first baseman Kevin Young played his 1,000th career game at first base for the Pirates on Friday night. That is third on the franchise's all-time list, trailing Gus Suhr (1,330 games from 1930-39) and Jake Beckley (1,045 from 1888-1896).
