Bengals | What To Do With Akili?
The Cincinnati Post reports Sunday’s game could be QB Akili Smith’s last with the Cincinnati Bengals. Team president Mike Brown originally said he planned on keeping Smith around, but now his position with the team is uncertain. If the Bengals cut him before June 1, it would cost them $4.62 million against the salary cap. If they do it after June 1, they would take a $1.54 million hit in 2003 and a $3.08 million hit in 2004.
