Hot off the Wire news, rumors and tips

Bengals | More On the Coaching Change reports Cincinnati Bengals president Mike Brown said the team's new head coach will have the say on which of former coach Dick LeBeau’s 15 assistants, if any, will stay with the team even if they have a contract beyond this season. Brown also said he’s considering candidates within the staff and although he didn’t name them, they are most likely defensive coordinator Mark Duffner and running backs coach Jim Anderson. Reportedly, only four assistants have contracts for 2003. They are obligated to stay and work with the team until a decision is made on a new coach.
