New York Mets-San Francisco Giants trade awaits Carlos Beltran’s OK

The San Francisco Giants and the New York Mets have reached an agreement on a trade that will send OF Carlos Beltran to the Giants, but Beltran now has 24 hours to accept, which he is expected to do. The Mets will pick up a good chunk of the $6 million left on Beltran's deal. The deal is believed to be centered around SP Zack Wheeler.

When this goes through, Beltran won't see a big change in value. He'll play in another pitcher-friendly park. He'll miss having Jose Reyes hitting in front of him and David Wright batting behind him, but Beltran has regained the thump in his bat that makes him a threat in any stadium or lineup.
