Fantasy analysis: The Lions landed a player once considered to be the No. 1 prospect in the draft and will pair him with last year's first-round sensation Ndamukong Suh to form a potentially lethal front wall. Defensive tackle Corey Williams should remain in the mix, which means a rotation is likely.
From an IDP standpoint, Fairley has late-round value as a flier pick. He is probably best left for the waiver wire for matchup plays, though. The Lions' defense could be a low-end No. 1 group if they can improve their pass rush, which this move should do, and shore up the secondary in the draft or free agency.
