2011 NFL Draft – Pick 18: Corey Liuget, DL, San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers selected Illinois defensive lineman Corey Liuget with the 18th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

A position switch is in the works

Fantasy analysis: The Chargers are expected to move Liuget to the five-technique spot in their 3-4 alignment. He is a natural three-technique in a 4-3, which makes this pick a bit curious. Nevertheless, he is athletic enough to hold containment points on the edge.

Liuget shouldn't have any notable fantasy value in 2011, but he could shore up the Chargers' run defense. Unfortunately, that doesn't translate into fantasy points.
