The Fantasy Roundtable hasn’t finished their discussions, but I thought I’d give my two cents on this week’s question. UPDATE: The discussions are over and you can find the rest of the panel’s answers at fantasyfootballfools.com. Here is the question and my answer.
Looking ahead at the fantasy football playoffs (Weeks 14-17), what one player would you want to own during those weeks and what one player would you want to unload before Week 14? Want more? Keep reading…

Last week’s version of the Fantasy Roundtable asked the question which keeper league players, other than the San Diego Chargers‘ LaDainian Tomlinson, have seen their value decline the most in 2009. Here was my answer (you’ll have to follow this link for the rest of the answers); stats are prior to Week 6: Want more? Keep reading…

Last week the Fantasy Roundtable discussion hit upon strategies to help your team if they are struggling. The question was posed heading into Week 5, but the advice is still pertinent. My contributions are below with a link to the full article.
Going into Week 5 some teams have struggled out of the gate. For those teams that are 2-2 or 1-3, what “expert” strategies would you suggest to help teams try to get back into the chase? Want more? Keep reading…

I represented KFFL.com in the Fourth & 1 Fantasy Roundtable Debate last week. My contribution is below; the rest can be found by following this link. Note this took place prior to Week 4.
Q: Who would you consider selling high or buying low?
A: This buy-low candidate might not be one for long – the St. Louis Rams‘ Donnie Avery (ribs). The second-year wideout missed a big chunk of the preseason because of a stress fracture in his left foot. Well, that time off caused him to miss valuable time executing in the team’s new West Coast offense. After three weeks, he should be feeling more comfortable. He’ll become the top option for quarterback Kyle Boller, who is expected to start this week; wideout Laurent Robinson (fibula) is done for the year because of a fractured fibula. Boller has a bigger arm than injured Marc Bulger (shoulder), which should complement Avery’s big-play prowess nicely. Try to pry him away from another owner; he might even be available on the waiver wire if an impatient owner ditched him. Want more? Keep reading…

Before the Week 3 games kicked off, I participated in the second installment of the Fantasy Football Roundtable. The question: Every year a handful of receivers emerge from obscurity to become fantasy relevant. This year a few relatively overlooked receivers such as Earl Bennett, Mario Manningham and Andre Caldwell showed signs that they could be factors in 2009. Who are your two or three favorite surprise receivers for this season? Want more? Keep reading…

Boogity, boogity, boogity, let’s go racing boys. While channeling my inner Darrell Waltrip, let’s take a look at some of my favorites to take the Sprint Cup this year. The first race of the Chase – the Sylvania 300 – gets underway this weekend. And you thought we were all about baseball and football here at KFFL. Want more? Keep reading…

(Note: I’m a Green Bay Packers fan – if you haven’t noticed – and no, I don’t care that Brett Favre is in purple. Green Bay already has the top QB in the NFC).
I can’t stand the Dallas Cowboys.
I dislike them almost as much as the Minnesota Vikings. My Vikings’ hatred should be fairly easy to understand; my Cowboys’ hostility stems mainly from the fact they seem to blow GB out every time they play (at least in recent years). Want more? Keep reading…

If you aren’t comfortable burning an early pick on a rookie, these three first-year players should be available late in your draft.
RB Glen Coffee, 49ers – Coffee woke up fantasy owners in his second preseason game with 129 yards on just 16 carries, including four runs of at least 10 yards. Head coach Mike Singletary prefers a run-first approach, and the lead back, Frank Gore, has dealt with injury problems. Want more? Keep reading…
