2011 NFL Draft – Pick 39: Akeem Ayers, OLB, Tennessee Titans

The Tennessee Titans selected UCLA outside linebacker Akeem Ayers with the 39th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.

Versatility will endear him to the coaching staff

Fantasy analysis: Ayers will compete for the left outside linebacker spot with Gerald McRath in 2011. Ayers' skill set allows for him to play on the strong side and cover tight ends.

IDP owners should keep an eye on Ayers this offseason, as he could be a bit of a sleeper candidate. Tennessee it slowly improving their front seven, but they'll need more than Ayers to make a significant leap for fantasy owners. Avoid them for now.
