2011 NFL Draft – Pick 17: Nate Solder, OT, New England Patriots
By Cory J. Bonini on April 28, 2011
The New England Patriots selected Colorado offensive tackle Nate Solder with the 17th overall pick of the 2011 NFL Draft.
Fantasy analysis: Solder is a talented prospect but could use some grooming. The Pats might move him to right tackle and start Sebastian Vollmer on the left side if they don't re-sign veteran Matt Light.
Solder is a little light and could stand to bulk up. He'll be a better pass protector than a run blocker in his career, but it is hard to imagine the Patriots will trust him with Tom Brady's blindside right out of the gates. How this plays out determines the fantasy implications.
